In the next 3 minutes, you’ll discover the key to attracting an endless stream of leads—clients who not only want to buy from you but also spare you from engaging in price wars just to secure their business.
No single approach fits every business, but the foundational principles remain constant. By incorporating these principles, you stand to benefit, regardless of where you currently stand in your business journey.
Without further ado, let's dive in…
Exposure: It’s a simple equation—either you're visible or you're not. Either you're at the top of Google search results, or you're not. Either your business is situated in the city center, or it's not. The more eyes on your business, the greater the influx of clients.
I would argue that online exposure trumps physical presence (though one shouldn’t discount the other outright). Consider the numbers: as of Q3 2023, Facebook boasted 3 billion monthly active users.
The inevitable question arises: “That sounds fantastic, but how do I garner exposure and capture attention?”
Realistically, there are two avenues. The first is the economical but time-intensive route. It involves organically generating leads—creating social media videos, shorts, blogs, collaborating with other businesses to tap into different markets, and so forth. You can achieve this without shelling out a single penny to social media companies, but it will consume time that could be allocated elsewhere.
The second option is online marketing—investing in platforms like Facebook to advertise your business and, in return, accrue leads. Done right, Meta advertising can yield substantial benefits. After all, major corporations wouldn't be selling their wares online if it weren't effective.
If you're still sceptical about the power of online marketing, allow me to share a personal anecdote.
Prior to crafting this article, I worked as a Sales Advisor for a prominent Telecommunications company here in the UK. My role primarily involved door-to-door sales. Our daily target was to knock on 100 doors, typically during an 8-hour shift. However, out of those 100 houses, finding a potential client who met all the criteria before discussing the product was a rare occurrence—usually, 99 out of 100 were already disqualified. This meant I had just one potential client per day. My daily salary was approximately £100, and if I managed to make a sale, it added £100 to the company's coffers, as the product was valued at around £200. As you can see, the telecommunications giant was willing to pay me £100 per DAY for my efforts. Now, compare that to paying Facebook £15 per day to perform a similar task, albeit far more efficiently, as Facebook can reach thousands of potential clients daily. per day.
